http://z.pe claims that they now own more than 1% market-share. Can anyone confirm that?

  • http://u.nu David Fox

I can guarantee that z.pe doesn’t have 1% market share. They’re currently giving out 3-character identifiers, and they have a 62-character encoding scheme (0-9, a-z, A-Z). So they are somewhere between 3844 and 238328 urls shortened so far.

Is.gd, with 4%, has shortened over 8 million. Just do the math – z.pe is nowhere near 1/4 of that.

We agree with David Fox. Thanks for the justification and the math!
