Easiest Way To Install Apps On Windows 7

After all the hard work of doing a clean install to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7, reinstalling all the apps on Windows 7 is another pain. Wish there was an easy way to install the apps or at least some of the apps. Well, Ninite ( previously called Volery) address exactly that part of your problem. It loads all the free and open source programs all at once. All you need to do is to just get on to the Ninite site, pick the programs you want ( for example Skype, iTunes, GIMP etc) and click the button “Get Installer”. Then download Ninite which installs the apps all at once.


Here is what you need to do to install the apps.

1. Pick the software from the Ninite site. They are organized into different categories like Web Browsers, Messaging, Media, Imaging, Documents, Anti-Virus, Runtimes, File Sharing, Utilities, Compressions, Developer Tools and Others. There are currently over 60 apps listed there.


2. After you chose the apps you want, click on “Get Installer.


3. Save the installer file on to your disk.


4. Just launch the downloaded installer. It completely works in the background 100% hands-free. It installs the apps with default settings without any browser toolbars and other crap. All it does is installs the latest application you have chosen. Not even Ninite is installed.

Ninite runs on Windows XP/Vista/7. Its free for personal use and no signup required. If you don’t find an app listed, you an suggest the app via the site. You would get notified when the app is available. What a great service.
