15+ iPad Alternatives – But How Good Are they?

Apple iPad is creating another technology wave, many players are chasing them with their breed of touch-screen enabled tablet devices. Here we have featured some of them, most of which are just prototypes under active development (some of them aren’t). We may to have wait for few months before they matured. We are all finger crossed and waiting if they can clash with the mighty Apple’s iPad :) (We really like to see some competition for iPad)

HP Slate

Upcoming Windows 7 based tablet PC from HP. HP Slate has Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU, 3MP Camera on the back panel and a VGA Web Cam on the front, 8.9’’ Capacitive Multi touch Screen, 1GB RAM. It will have great multimedia capabilities. More is here. (Update – Canceled)


ExoPC Slate

Apparently leaked pictures of tablets from Dell. Engadget has reported that Dell Streak are in 2 variants, 7’’ and 10’’ tablets. We will need to wait and watch out for more.

    And how many of these are actually available? The HP Slate has been cancelled, and only 1 or 2 of the others have actually shipped, so…?

      yeah, seen that Slate is canceled, many will be canceled, many of them are not released but some of them will be released eventually. The idea of the post was to just shed light on thoughts or prototypes of ipad alternatives and questioning whether they can compete against iPad. Most probably, they all will fail…
